The maps show the changes that have taken place at the West Park Secondary School since its construction in 1950.
The maps highlight developments to the West Park Secondary School and its surroundings from 1950 to 2023.
One noticeable feature is the expansion of the parking area, which has tripled in size since 1980. Initially located to the left of the science block, it has extended to occupy the entire area that had been the sports field. Consequently, the space designated for recreational purposes, namely the sports field and the playground, has been significantly reduced during this period.
The rows of houses located to the left of the school in 1950, were demolished and replaced by a car park. The car park was later extended to occupy the area preciously taken up by the school sports field. The sports field was dug up and paved over to allow for the car park to be extended.
By 1980, the area of farmland had been replaced by a sports field. However, as of 2023, this sports field has been relocated in front of the main school building, now occupying part of the area that was previously exclusively taken up by the school playground.
From 1950 to 1980, the school playground occupied a large area in front of the main building; however, by 2023, this recreational space has been reduced by about a third to accommodate the sports playing area.

The maps provide information about a development plan for an industrial area of Norbiton town.
Overall, 5 facilities are planning to be built at the site, and factories will be replaced with new roads and housings.
One noticeable feature is the bridge, which allows the industrial area to access the farmland that is on the other side of the river. Farmland will be placed beside the new housings and roads connecting the Norbiton town. Following along the bridge, there will be two circular roads with few roads branching out to the new facilities at the bottom of the map.
Moreover, there will be a new school, playground, medical centre, and shops along with the new housing complex. Factories that were preciously located, will be demolished. Instead, a school and a playground will be on the East side of the site. Medical and shopping area will be placed near the circular roads.
